Shine Bright and Carousel {Avery Elle}

Hello friends!

Happy Fri-yay!  I hope you had a great week and looking forward to a fun weekend ahead!  I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a card featuring the Shine Bright stamp set.  No stamp collection is complete without a lighthouse stamp set- it's such a timeless icon and the perfect image for so many sentiments.

I placed my lighthouse atop a shoreline created with the Rocky Shores Elle-ments die. The lighthouse was colored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I created the background by inking a panel of Distress Specialty Stamping Paper with Distress Oxide ink in Fossilized Amber and Broken China and Regular Distress Ink with Milled Lavender and Seedless Preserve.

For the ocean, I stamped the waves in Avery Elle's white pigment ink over the Distress Oxide Broken China and blended out the edges a bit.  After all the inking was complete, I masked off the ocean and spritzed the panel with water to create the starry looking sky.

Supplies:

Last week,  Jamie shared this card I made using the cutie cute Carousel stamp set. With Easter approaching, I decided to use the Bunny image from the set.

I colored the bunny with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and placed him on another inky background.  This one was created by blending Distress Inks in Broken China and Shaded Lilac.

I added a few finishing touches with the stars and banner included in the stamp set.  I die cut the inked panel with the Wonky Stitches Elle-ments die and added a cloudy background using the Picket Fences Elle-ments die.

A Trio of Critter Card Puns {Paper Smooches}

Hello friends,

I love a good pun, so the Critter Card Puns stamp set from Paper Smooches is right up my alley.  I was able to combine this punny set with some of my favorite products from Paper Smooches March Release- the adorable Animal Card dies. Using this stamp set and dies, I created a trio of punny critter cards.

There are three Animal die sets available: Bunny, Cat/Dog and Bear/Frog.  I mixed and matched the die sets to create the kitty, puppy and panda cards.

Using the same basic layout and pink card stock to accent the animals helps tie the cards together to work as a set.

CardMaker Magazine and Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop!

Hello friends!

I am so excited to be participating in a blog hop today with the CardMaker Magazine blog team using some fun and and super cute stamps, dies, and embellishments from Pretty Pink Post!

You should have arrived here today from the CardMaker blog. You can also pick up the full blog hop list and links on the CardMaker blog.

For my card, I used the sweet Birdie Notes stamp set and the Scallop Square tag dies.

I die cut the square window in the top right corner of a white panel of card stock.  Behind the widow, I adhered the birdie image which I had stamped and colored using Zig Clean Color Markers.

To dress up the background a bit without distracting from the window element, I stamped some of the small envelopes and adhered clear star sequins.

Missing You Pig Time {Paper Smooches}

Hello friends,

I am contributing a few cards to the Paper Smooches blog this month while one of their Design Team members is on vacation.

This card features some of the new Animal Card dies and the Critter Card Puns stamp set.  I've included a link to all the Paper Smooches products I've used below.

I stamped the clouds from the Spectrum stamp set onto a yellow note card.  I followed up by stamping the sentiment using Versafine black ink.  I created a pig using the new Cat Dog card die and by borrowing a few elements from the other animal card die sets, I transformed the dog into a pig.   We have some friends who own the cutest pet pig, so I know where this card will be heading soon!

Well that's all for me today, but I'll be back soon with more fun cards featuring Paper Smooches March release!

Thanks for stopping by!

More Furry Friends {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

Happy Friday! I'm celebrating the start of the weekend with Avery Elle's More Furry Friends and Picket Fences die! A list of links to all my Avery Elle supplies is included below.

First up, this is a retread of a card I shared a couple weeks ago for CardMaker Magazine featuring Baby Wipe ink blending.  What's that?  Check out this post on the CardMaker Magazine blog for more information!

The three playful puppies in the stamp set were stamped, colored with Copic Markers and adhered to the card.  The large sentiment is from the Big Greetings stamp set.

Now it's the kitties turn to Paw-ty!  This background was created by blending Distress Oxide ink in Broken China on a watercolor panel.  I kept the top and middle of the panel light- trying to capture the feel of high whispy clouds.

The kitties were stamped and colored with Copic Markers and I adhered a white pom pom to the top of their party harts for a fun touch.

Pegasus and Pantry Puns {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

I wanted to share with you a couple cards featuring stamps and dies from Avery Elle's newest release. All of my Avery Elle supplies are linked below.

First up, a card using the ADORABLE Pegasus Duo stamp set.  I can't even handle the cuteness of this set.  My younger daughter saw this set and proclaimed it hers- LOL!  I guess unicorns are even more spectacular with the addition of wings.

I created a background by blending Distress Ink and spattered water onto the inked background to lift out some of the color.  Then I added some clouds using the New Picket Fence Elle-ments die.

I colored the Pegasus images with Copic markers before die cutting them and adhering them to the background.  My final set was to add some sequins and a frame made with the Scalloped Pierced Rectangles Elle-ments die.

Supplies:

My next card uses the Punny Pantry stamp set.  I combined several of the puns to create a longer sentiment.

I stamped the images onto a panel of white card stock which I had cut using the Pierced Banner Layers Elle-ments die. After stamping the images, I colored them in using Copic markers.
