Kitschy Christmas Card {Avery Elle}

Hello everyone,

I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a sweet reindeer card using the Kitsch Christmas stamp set.  I have a complete list of my Avery Elle supplies linked below.

So, I have a bit of a crafty confession, I have a hard time seeing deers around the holidays and not transforming them into Rudolph, so this poor deer got a red pearl on his nose against a pink and white snowy background.

I colored the deer with my Zig Clean Color brush markers and die cut him using the coordinating Kitsch Christmas Elle-ments dies.  I stamped the sentiment in raspberry ink onto a snow drift and before adhering the panel to the note card, I sponged the edges of the pink cardstock with white pigment ink.

Avery Elle Holiday Inspiration

Hello friends,

I'm popping in today (admittedly a bit tardy) to share a couple cards that were featured on the Avery Elle blog this week. This week's been a doozy between a work conference which meant a few late nights and recovering from my youngest daughter's 9th birthday which took up all of my bandwidth the previous weekend.  Anyway, I'm just happy to be here!

First, a card featuring the Christmas Packages stamp set and coordinating dies. All of my Avery Elle supplies are linked below.

I love new stamps as much as the next girl, but what I really love is when a new stamp inspires me to pull out and play with a previously loved stamp set and that's what happened with the Christmas Packages stamp set!  I pulled out the Oh What Fun stamps set and dies from last year's holiday release and made a scene where Santa was holding a large pile of gifts!

I die cut the Falling Snow die directly onto my note card and I didn't back it with anything, so it shows through to the inside of the card which I covered with white card stock.  This was sort of different for me, but I really liked the look.

Next, a card using the Holiday Glass stamp set. I stamped and heat embossed the images with gold embossing powder and then colored them in using Zig Clean Color brush markers.  The sentiment is from the Comfort and Joy stamp set and I thought that the little scalloped border using the Dotted Border Elle-ments die.

Die: Dotted Borders Elle-ments

So that's all for me today, but I thank you for stopping by and please drop by the Avery Elle blog for even more inspiration from the Avery Elle design team.

Until next time!

STAMPtember Avery Elle Exclusive

Hello friends,

I am so excited to introduce you to the newest stamp in Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember celebration.  A collaboration with Avery Elle called Christmas Cheer and I made a couple samples to share with you today.

For my first card, I paired the stamp set with bright watercolor pigments from Gansai Tambi. After allowing the panel to dry, I stamped and heat embossed the snowflakes with white embossing powder and stamped a few of the snowflakes again using regular dye ink to add a little depth and dimension.

I die cut the panel with Avery Elle's Wonky Stitches Ellements die and adhered it to a bright pink note card.

For my second card, I went more muted in shades of mint and silver.  I die cut this panel using the Finished Frames Ellements die.

I love how you can get a different look just by swapping out the watercolor colors! I used Versafine Black to stamp the sentiments on both cards.  The sentiments that Jamie designed for the set are just beautiful too and suitable for many types of holiday celebrations.

You can pick up the stamp set here and there is also a version with coordinating dies available here.  For all the details and even more inspiration, please check out the Simon Says Stamp blog.

Tiding of Comfort and Joy {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

Happy Fri-YAY!  I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a card featuring the new Comfort and Joy clear stamp set.  My Avery Elle supplies are linked below.

 I sponged some Distress Ink onto a panel of watercolor cardstock in a circular motion.  Once I was happy with the coverage, I spayed the panel with both water and spattered it with gold spray ink by Heidi Swapp.

After allowing the panel to dry completely (very important), I stamped and heat embossed the large "Comfort and Joy" sentiment from the stamp set.  As a finishing touch, I adhered a few gold sequin stars before die cutting the panel with the Pierced Rectangle Die and adhering it to a burgandy note card.

Well, that's all for me today, but be sure to stop by the Avery Elle blog for even more inspiration from the Avery Elle team.

Waffle Flower Crafts September Challenge

Hello friends,

Just popping in today to share some inspiration for the September Waffle Flower Challenge.  Here's this month's inspiration photo:

The colors and the fun polka dot garland were the inspiration for my card.  I used the 100% Love Stamp Set stamping both the front and back of the Thank You circle to create the row of large dots. Next, I added more detail using the tiny images included in the stamp set.  I love how they look like a confetti border.  Finally some clear droplets add a finishing touch without taking attention away from the awesome colors.

Introducing Wild and Free and Holiday Words {Waffle Flower Crafts}

Hello!

So we meet again!  This time, it's to introduce another new stamp set and stand alone die that part of Waffle Flower Craft's upcoming release.  All the products previewed here will be available for purchase on September 8.

First up, Wild and Free.  The main cluster surrounding "Wild and Free" is already done for you, and you can mix it up by adding works and images to customize your card.  I embossed my images with Bronze embossing powder and added a touch of watercolor with my Zig Clean Color Brush markers, but there are stamps that coordinate for the flowers and leaves as well.

Next, Holiday Words dies. I die cut "Happy" and "Thanksgiving" from gold card stock and trimmed a bunch of scraps to the 3/8" height to create the colorblocking.  I think I will have to revisit this design for other holidays as well- it was so simple!

Well that's all for me today, but be sure to stop by the Waffle Flower blog for even more inspiration from Nina and the rest of the Waffle Flower team.

Introducing Purse-nality, Pinking Layers and Stitched Heart {Waffle Flower Crafts}

Hello everyone!

Just popping in quickly to share a couple cards that feature new Waffle Flower Crafts products being released on September 8th.  First up, Purse-nality!  It's a cute and punny stamp set and I love the simple two (or three) step stamping options. I stamped the purses in fun patterns, added the outline with gray ink (Like a Pro) and the sentiment in black ink.  Some black spatters complete the card.

My next card features the Pinking Layers and Stitched Hearts dies. The sentiment is from a set that will be introduced in a couple days, but I just love the homespun look you can achieve with these dies.

Well that's it for me today, but be sure to stop by the Waffle Flower blog for more details and inspiration!

Merriest Holiday Photo Card {Avery Elle}

Good morning and TGIF!

I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a photo card featuring the Merriest Stamp Set.  Merriest is a beautiful sentiment set that will see you through the holidays and beyond.  This set struck me as one that would pair perfectly with your family holiday photos.  Let's face it. While I love making Christmas cards, my friends and relatives would quite honestly rather see a picture of the kids.

I get that- so Merriest allowed me to do both- get a little creative and share a picture of the girls.  For a little added interest, I stamped the holly image from Holiday Glass in the background and added it beneath the photo as an accent- plus this card is flat for easy mailing.

All of my Avery Elle supplies are linked below.

Well that's all for me today, but be sure to stop by the Avery Elle blog for even more inspiration from the Avery Elle Design Team.

Introducing First Step (Waffle Flower Crafts)

Hello friends,

Waffle Flower Crafts is continuing new product introductions, and today I have a card to share with you using the First Step stamp set.

This is such a unique concept for a stamp set and I just adore the positive and uplifting sentiments that were included.  For my cards, I stamped the shoes and added a color wash in pale pink with my Zig Real Brush Markers.  I stamped the sentiment and then added some spatter with black ink to keep it from looking too sweet and girly.  As a finishing touch, I added a few clear sequins.

Be sure to stop by the Waffle Flower blog for more details on this and other new items being introduced today.

Introducing Trick or Treat, Little Gifts Die and Tiny Pumpkin Face Die {Waffle Flower Crafts}

Hello friends,

Today Waffle Flower Crafts is formally introducing the first stamps and dies of the autumn release, so I am popping in today with some cards to share with you using the new release!

Trick or Treat anyone?  This card features the Little Gifts stamp set and new coordinating die along with the Tiny Pumpkin Face Die.  For the ghost bag, I just flipped the eyes and mouth upside down and all of a sudden the pumpkin face looks quite sinister and spooky!

This card used the new Trick of Treat stamp set and coordinating dies.  I loosely watercolored a fall-looking background before adhering the watercolored pumpkins to the panel. I also used the Tiny Pumpkin Dace Die on this card.  I may be slightly obsessed with this die- it's the cutest!

Finally, my last card today uses the Trick or Treat stamp set and dies.  I sponged Distress Ink onto watercolor paper before spattering it with white ink.  A punched and inked circle serves as the moon illuminating the path of those batty bats.

Well that's all for me today, but be sure to stop by the Waffle Flower blog for all the details and even more ideas and inspiration featuring the upcoming release.  I will be back tomorrow with more Waffle Flower inspiration and ideas to share.

Thanks for stopping by!
